A small foundation which provides grants from $1,000 up to $10,000. They require an agency approval, a financial statement, and a formal application.

Brittany's Hope Foundation*
Brittany's Hope helps parents afford the adoption of special needs children, older children, and sibling groups. Rather than providing a grant directly to the adoptive parents, however, Brittany's Hope places money on specific waiting children referred to them by placement agencies in an effort to get potential families interested in the child and make the adoption more affordable.

Caroline's Promise*
Caroline's Promise provides grants of $3,000 - $5,000 to Christian families to help with the cost of both international and domestic adoption. Currently, this program is open only to residents of North Carolina, but they hope to expand to offer grants through the country in the future. Homestudy must be completed. Must be using an agency - not independent adoption.

China Care Foundation*
Financial Aid for Adopting Families: Many adopting families cannot afford the $16-20,000 cost of adoption. China Care is trying to alleviate this burden through loans and grants. They are especially interested in helping families who are adopting special needs children. Many mildly disabled children, such as with cleft lip and clubfoot, can be made healthy through surgery and lead completely normal lives in American families. In order to encourage the adoption and care for orphans from China, the China Care Foundation:
provides financial aid in the form of grants or loans for the adoption and/or medical treatment of orphans. Many families can afford to take wonderful care of their children, but cannot afford the one-time cost of adoption.

Fore Family Foundation*
This is a private foundation (not a non-profit organization) started by PGA star, Kirk Triplett and his wife Cathi, to help adoptive parents overcome the financial barriers to adoption. The foundation awards grants of $2,500 towards adoptive parents' attorney or agency fees, towards birthmother expenses, or to be placed in an educational fund for a qualified adopted child. The grants are limited to domestic adoptions of children in the foster care system, children with special needs, older children, or hard to place children. Homestudy must be completed.

The Gift of Adoption Fund*
The Gift of Adoption Fund provides financial assistance to moderate- and low-income families seeking to adopt. Preference will be given to those applicants who are experiencing extraordinary hardship. Examples would include medical special needs on the part of the child and/or situational hardship on the part of the parents or the child. Homestudy must be completed. God's Grace Adoption Ministry*
God's Grace Adoption Ministry provides adoption grants and no-interest loans to eligible christian families. For more information, visit the Web site or call 209-572-4539.


His Kids Too!*
His Kids Too! provides grants of $2,000 for one child or up to $4,000 for two children to Christian families adopting internationally. They also have an Adoption Bank Program where family, friends and co-workers can make donations towards adoption expenses. His Kids Too! has a division called A Heart of Mercy* which provides humanitarian aid to orphans in Kazakhstan as well as financial assistance to people adopting from Kazakhstan. Preference for those using agency or facilitation service.

Home for Good Foundation*

IBSEN Adoption Network*
IBSEN Adoption Network is a private, Christian, non-profit organization that is dedicated to encouraging the adoption of special needs children through education, support and financial assistance to families living in Washington State. We believe every child deserves to have a loving and secure family. Their allocation committee meets twice a year to consider assistance requests. Grants average $1,500 per family.

National Adoption Foundation *
This organization awards grants four times per year. They have no income requirements. Open to ALL adoptive situations and families. Homestudy must be either in progress or completed. Their grants are from $500 to $4000.


Open Arms Children Charities*
Open Arms awards grants to adoptive families twice a year. The grants are open to all adoptive parents with an approved home study, regardless of whether they are adopting domestically or internationally. The amount of the award depends upon the number of applications received, as well as donations and fundraisers. Homestudy must be completed. There is a $15 application fee.

Promise The Children*
Promise The Children awards grants to adoptive families as part of it's mission. Families must be with an agency/facilitator that is approved by PTC and must have their I-171H before they can send in their application and $15 processing fee


Sea of Faces Foundation*
Sea of Faces is a non-profit organization recently established in September of 2004. They are offering grants to Christian married couples adopting internationally from a developing country up to $5000. The grants available to qualified applicants with a completed home study. $5 donation required prior to receiving an application.

Shaohanna's Hope*
Shaohanna's Hope provides grants to Christians adopting through a non-profit adoption agency. Funding priority will be given to families experiencing the greatest need, and those who are receiving financial help from their church.

TMG Foundation *
TMG Provides a "matching grant" program geared for married Christian couples seeking to adopt a child internationally. The awarding of a grant is based upon religious criteria, financial need of the family, referral and support from local church and available funds at the time of application. TMG facilitates fundraising, and TMG will then make a matching grant up to a pre-determined amount.

A Child Waits *
Loans are available for up to $10,000 for one child. They are interested in assisting families who can financially support a child and repay the loan, but who do not have the current funds to adopt. Call 413-499-3992.


The ABBA Fund*
The ABBA Fund provides financial assistance to Christian couples who need help with the "cash flow crunch" posed by adoption expenses. Adopting couples may request financial assistance in any amount, based upon their needs. The couple will enter into a covenant agreement with The ABBA Fund whereby the couple agrees to reimburse The ABBA Fund in manageable monthly payments. Financial assistance provided by The ABBA Fund is interest free. Couples seeking assistance must complete an application, and assistance will be provided by The ABBA Fund in stages as the adoption process moves along.


An Adoption Assistance Loan for Families*
By providing financial support, information and services, the National Adoption Foundation (NAF) specializes in helping adoptive and prospective adoptive parents with the costs associated with adopting and raising a child. The Adoption Assistance Loan is designed to help adoptive families take care of the finances needed to adopt and raise a child.


Adoption Network Law Center Credit Based Adoption Loans*
Adoption Network Law Center offers credit-based adoption loans. Interest rates start at just 9.99% on loans from $1,500 to $50,000. . We can usually get applications approved during the same day.


Advanced Performance Financing*
Coming up with the money to adopt can be tricky. Whether you agree with it or not, there is always a fee. Some countries are less expensive than others and some agencies are more expensive than others. You have to find the right one for you and your family. Keep in mind, many people can rationalize spending $20,000 for a car so don't let money discourage you from adopting.

Oxford Adoption Foundation, Inc. provides low interest loans for families who have exhausted other financial options and could not proceed with their adoption without our help.

Potter's Hands Foundation
The Potter's Hands provides grants to Christian families to help them with the costs of adoption. They help fund domestic and international adoptions regardless of whether the adoption is private or through an adoption agency. There is a $25.00 application fee.

The Miracle Moms
The Miracle Moms Grant Program awards grants to married couples who are diagnosed as medically unable to naturally conceive a child and who are pursuing fertility treatment or adoption. Grants will be available to families that are United States citizens living in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, with preference to those living in the Greater Cincinnati area. Priority will be given to applicants demonstrating financial need. You can download a printable application form on their website.
